This policy explains how Australia AI Firms ("we", "us") handles personal information when you visit australiaaifirms.online or contact us. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
You don't need an account to use this site, and we don't use contact forms. We collect personal information in two ways:
- Email. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, act on corrections or suggestions, and keep a record of the conversation. We don't add you to a mailing list and we don't sell your details.
- Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site.
Hosting and email delivery
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, which processes request data such as IP addresses to serve pages, cache content and block malicious traffic. Email sent to our address is routed through Cloudflare before it reaches our mailbox. Cloudflare's handling of this data is covered by the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Matomo, an open-source analytics tool that we host ourselves rather than through a third-party analytics company. It is configured not to use cookies. It gives us aggregate usage statistics, such as page views, referring sites, general location and device type, so we can see which guides are useful. We don't use these statistics to identify individual visitors.
Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Data stored overseas
Cloudflare, Google and our email provider may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to AI firms, government agencies and other sources. Their privacy practices are their own, so check their policies before you share information with them.
Security and retention
We keep emails only as long as we need them to deal with your message and keep reasonable records, and we take reasonable steps to protect them from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@australiaaifirms.online. If you have a privacy complaint, email us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes, for example if we add features or change providers. The current version is always on this page. Last updated November 2026.
