About this guide

Australia AI Firms is a buyer's guide for Australian organisations that want to hire someone to build AI. It is written by the Australia AI Firms editors for business owners, operations leaders, product managers and IT teams who need a practical shortlist.

The site has three parts. The main directory profiles Australian firms that build AI for clients, with what each one does and who it suits. Our city guides for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide look at each local scene, state government programmes and how to pick a partner nearby. Our cost guide explains where the money goes in an AI project and how to get quotes you can compare.

We write in plain Australian English and link to our sources in the text, so you can check a claim for yourself. Facts about each firm come from its own website and public records such as the government's NAIC AI Directory. Where a detail like a founding year can't be confirmed, we leave it out rather than guess.

Firms change quickly: they merge, rebrand and drop services. If you spot something out of date, or you run an Australian firm that builds AI for clients, please get in touch.

To be listed, a firm must be based in Australia, offer AI development or engineering services to clients, and have a working website describing those services. We draw on the government's NAIC AI Directory, industry coverage and each firm's own website, and we recheck listings regularly. Firms that are acquired or stop offering AI services are removed.
